What will therapy be like?An initial consultation will take three to four hours. During the consultation the homeopath will take detailed notes of your presenting symptoms, your medical history and your family medical history. Your history from birth will be reviewed to determine mental, emotional, and physical experiences and symptomology that has led up to what you are experiencing. Your homeopath will also ask many questions which you may feel are unrelated to your problem. However, this information is very important in helping the homeopath to choose the correct remedy for you.
After the initial consultation your homeopath will determine the starting point for your individual care and provide you with the first remedy dose.
Remedies are usually in the form of a liquid, which should be taken by mouth just before going to bed. Nothing should be taken in the mouth for ten minutes before or after a homeopathic remedy.
Other treatments, including dental treatment, may affect your homeopathic treatment. It is important not to take any additional medication (including homeopathic remedies) without first talking to your homeopath.
